Preliminary Flood Maps
FEMA is working across the nation to update the current Flood Insurance Rate Maps. Below is a list of areas where maps are currently being updated. See the maps before they become effective.
Property Owners Can Take Advantage of Grandfathering
If a property is mapped into a high-risk area such as Zone A or AE, and the owner has a mortgage through a federally regulated or insured lender, flood insurance will be required when the FIRM becomes effective.
